August 1 Protest: US, UK and Canada Warn Citizens Against Involvement

The US Mission in Abuja, the UK High Commission and the Canadian government have warned their citizens staying in Nigeria about probable cases of violence in the upcoming protests in Nigeria.
According to a report by The Sun, the aforementioned nations issued security alerts, warning citizens to avoid areas where confrontations between security agencies and protesters might occur.

Meanwhile, the scheduled protest tagged the #EndBadGovernanceProtest is gaining more traction on the internet. The protest which is scheduled to be a medium to convey the displeasure of the citizens towards the harsh and inhumane economic policies of the Bola Tinub-led administration has been met with divided opinions.
On one hand, there are people who are concerned that the protest could be hijacked by hoodlums while there are others who vehemently disagree.
