By James Hughes
The Royal whites as they are fondly referred to by their fans have celebrated their 36th La Liga title. The players celebrated with thousands of fans with a bus parade during which they displayed the trophy
Madrid’s victory was confirmed after their 3 – nil win over Cadiz, following their El classico rivals Barcelona FC’s 4- 2 loss against Girona meaning that Real Madrid had won the title with four games to spare.
The Spanish giants have enjoyed a remarkable success in this campaign, losing just once against Atletico Madrid. Despite injuries to key players like Thirbaut Courtois, David Alaba and Éder militão, the club successfully kept 18 clean sheets in the competition while also enjoying success in the Copa Del Ray.
Of course, they also enjoyed the presence of veterans like Kroos, Modric, Carvajal and the impact of new signing Jude Bellingham. Real Madrid has been unbeaten in La Liga since September with their last defeat coming against Atletico Madrid.
The club now sets it’s eyes on another trophy with the UCL final coming up against Dortmund at the Wembley stadium in a few weeks.
