Gombe State: NSCDC Arrests 76 Homosexual Suspects at a Gay Wedding

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command arrested 76 suspected homosexuals who were alleged to have hosted a same-sex marriage. This information was gotten from a tip-off, after which they would have consummated their wedding.

This revelation was made by the State Public Relations Officer, Buhari Sa’ad at a press conference at the Command headquarters, in Gombe on Sunday, 22 October 2023 on behalf of the State Commandant, Mohammed Mu’azu.

He further disclosed the statistics saying; out of the 76 suspects, 59 are males while 21 of them willingly confessed to being homosexuals, and 17 females present at the event were arrested.

He said “they were arrested at Duwa plaza along Bauchi-Gombe expressway, holding homosexual birthday party and had plans to hold same-sex marriage before our men raided the scene.”

Buhari said he will send the culprits to school where they will not have adequate time for frivolities. “They will be charged to court upon completion of investigation, to answer for their crimes which is a social vice; a crime in Gombe” he said.
