I Have Facilitated 25 Appointments. -Says Buhari

The Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, at the upper legislative chamber, Distinguished Senator (Dr) AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari revealed that he had facilitated 25 appointments for his constituents between June and October this year.

Buhari stated this when he appeared as a guest on Parrot 101.1 Mhz FM, in Ogbomoso on the program ” Lagbo Oselu Extra” on Friday, 13th October 2023.

He told the audience that, he promised to meet them quarterly and thanked God for the grace to make it possible.

His words: “In this 10th Assembly that we started ( June to date) I have facilitated 25 appointments to my constituents”

“On the 132 KVA Sub Station in Ogbomoso, all prominent sons and daughters have been working on it”

“Even Kabiyesi said a similar thing when we visited him in the Palace. That is his priority and we will keep working on it”

“We need constant light because no industry will come on board without light. The cost of diesel is so biting”, he said.

The Senator used the opportunity to refute the rumors that the Oke Ogun axis benefits more dividends of democracy than Ogbomoso, he described it as a mere speculation and political bomb.

Buhari remarked that he represents 13 local governments,10 in Oke Ogun and 3 in Ogbomoso. He illustrated that if he were to share 13,000 items to his constituency, each local government would get 1,000, Oke Ogun with 10 local governments will get 10 by 1000 items (10,000 items), while Ogbomoso with 3 local governments, 3 by 1000 items will have (3000 items). That is just the pure facts, he disclosed.

He further explained that he gave LAUTECH 3 ICT Centres and Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Centre to serve as an exam center for Secondary school students, but Ayede Polytechnic is presently using it as their ICT centre.

Buhari ended by appreciating God, his constituents and promised to bring more dividends of democracy to Oyo North Senatorial District.
