Army Court-Martial Major General to Seven Years in Prison

The Nigerian Army Legal Unit has Court- Maj. Gen. Umaru Mohammed, to seven years imprisonment.
The Special sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday, 10th October 2023, sentenced the Group Managing Director, Nigerian Army Properties Limited for misappropriation of funds.
The court also ordered him to pay back $2,178,900 and N1.65bn to the Army properties and NAPL.

Maj. Gen. Mohammed was tried on 18 counts bordering on forgery, misappropriation of funds, and conspiracy among others.
He pleaded not guilty to all allegations but the court found him guilty of 14 counts.
