By
The suspended Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele’s case over an alleged N6.9bn procurement fraud, has again been adjourned again after many expectations of his arraignment today August 23, 2023.
The case was initially adjourned on August 17 on the basis of the absence of Sa’adatu Yaro who is the second defendant in the case, on the excuse that she had taken ill and could not make it to court.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Hamza Muazu, adjourned the case till August 23, 2023 for the arraignment of the defendants.
But as it stands, the case was not listed on the case list of the Court today with clear-cut explanation given on why it was not listed.
Also, lawyers for both parties were absent in court.
