ELECTION MALPRACTICE: POLICE ARREST SYNDICATE WITH BVAS

The Police Command in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on 28th February, 2023, lay hold on some election malpractice suspects who are believed to be involved in the manipulation of the Bimordial Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) through the possession of the gadgets in mass.

The Police raided on a residential building at No. 15, Ganges Street, Maitama, Abuja to raid the house, and caught sight of the suspects with election gadgets.
The raid came from a tip-off by unidentified sources which claimed that the location was being used as a base to manipulate last Saturday’s elections.

The pictures and videos making headlines captured the moment the Police recovered a good number of these BVAS machines and several laptops as well as desktop computers, with other digital and technological materials.

The Arise TV reports that the suspects have been arrested and taken into Police guard and are undergoing further investigation for illegal possession of election gadgets off election grounds.
One of the suspects arrested is said to be the Vice President of a company known as Emperor Technology. The Suspects are also helping the police with its further investigation.
