Nollywood Actor, Daniel Effiong, Wins Best Actor At The AFRIFF Globe Awards

Popular Nollywood actor, Daniel Etim-Effiong, has won the award for best actor for his performance in Jude Idada’s film, Kofa, at the Globe Awards of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) 2022.
Etim-Effiong who played the role of Wale in the movie won the award out of the six nominations it received.
Kofa is an engaging psychological thriller about a group of eight people in their underwear who wake up to find themselves locked in a room.
All they remember are their names. As an armed man comes in to pick them out, one after the other, they struggle to remember who they are, where they are and why they are there in order to marshal out a plan, evade the armed man and escape.
The film written by multi-award-winning filmmaker, Jude Idada, also won the coveted award of Best Film at the award ceremony.
The film features other star-studded cast like Kate Henshaw, Ijeoma Grace Agu, Beverly Naya, Zainab Balogun, and Enyinna Nwigwe, the film was written, directed, and produced by Jude Idada with a team of producers including Chibuzo “Chibie” Louis-Okoye, Femi D Ogunsanwo and Steve Sodiya.
While reacting to the award on his Instagram page, Etim-Effiong showed his excitement and sense of appreciation to Idada for casting him in his directorial debut.
