The Redeemed Christian Church of God has on Monday, 5th of August, 2024 began its annual August convention.

The 72nd edition of the convention with the theme “Heaven” is scheduled for Monday, August 5, to Sunday, August 11, 2024, at The Redemption City, Mowe Ogun State (Lagos-Ibadan Way).

News of this convention has generated a particular interest among Nigerians especially after the recent protests and unrest in the country.

Some were of the opinion that RCCG should be more involved in national issues while others were of the opinion that prayer is what the current situation of the country demands.
