Buhari Hosts Ogbomoso Ajisegiri

The Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District of Oyo State, and Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari played host to a socio-cultural association, Ogbomoso Ajisegiri, Abuja in his office at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja on Tuesday, 10th October 2023.
The delegation of the respected association was led by its Acting Chairman, Engr. S.A Adeshina.

The Acting Chairman in his address stated that the visit was to congratulate him on his re-election victory at the 2023 polls, and inauguration as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as to brief him about the activities of the association.
He added that his re-election serves as a testament to his exceptional leadership qualities, unwavering commitment to public service, and the trust that the people of Oyo State North Senatorial District have placed in him.
On the activities of the association, Adeshina said that it is envisioned to have Ogbomoso House in Abuja and necessary actions have been taken at FCTA for documentation of the association.
The Acting Chairman explained that the association has at the same time gotten another land in Ogbomoso for its proposed Ajisegiri Estate. He added that the association is planning to go into the ‘Uber’ Service business to use it as a source of income.
Adeshina informed the Senator of the Women Wing of the association called ‘Soun Ladies’. He used the avenue to inform him that he would be invited to the end-of-year party God’s willing.
In his response, Buhari expressed his delight to receive Ogbomoso Ajisegiri, Abuja, and thanked them for the gesture. He used the opportunity to dispel the rumours that a particular section of the senatorial zone benefits more than the others.
He remarked that there are thirteen Local Governments in the Oyo North senatorial zone, and Ogbomoso has only three out of them. He stated that it beholds him to ensure equal and even distribution of dividends of democracy to all Local Governments under his jurisdiction. He added that those who do not understand how the system works will think otherwise.
Senator Buhari further explained that he had facilitated several developmental projects in the zone such as ICT Centres, the Construction of Block of Classrooms, the Sinking of Boreholes, and Drainage to prevent Gully Erosion in Ogbomoso etc
Buhari reiterated his support for the association and pledged to contribute his quota for its development where necessary. He also commended the secretary of the association for his efforts and contributions to the progress of the association.
