Pioli Promises Chukwueze more Playing Time
Stefano Pioli the Head Coach of Associazione Calcio Milan also known as AC Milan says Samuel Chukwueze will get enough playing time to prove himself for the Rossoneri just as he did at CF Villareal.
He came from the bench for his debut game of the Serie A season against Bologna.
Despite AC Milan winning the match 2-0, all thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud and Christian Pulisic, Chukwueze came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute for Pulisic at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Monday night 21st August with only little to do.
Samuel Chukwueze became the sixth Nigerian player to appear in the Rossoneri colours of AC Milan after the great performances of Aliyu Datti, Taribo West, Kingsley Umunegbu, Nnamdi Oduamadi and Taye Taiwo.
Pioli stated the reason for Chukwueze’s appearance on the 73rd minutes was due to him joining the team late hence giving the winger only 16 minutes play against the Rossoblù.
The Nigeria international joined the seven-time European champions July 27, 2023 and was not part of their pre-season games of the United States, which saw the Rossoneri face Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona in high-profile friendlies.
The former Villarreal star only started training with his new teammates two weeks before the start of the new Serie A season.
