IGP Egbetokun meets DIGs, AIGs, CPsAg. IGP Egbetokun meet with DIGs, AIGs and CPs.

The newly installed acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun,following the immediate sack of all service chiefs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a discreet meeting with members of the Police Management Team at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja today,23rd June, 2023.

While addressing the senior officers, IGP Egbetokun stressed on police proactivity to preventing rather than reacting to criminal activities in the country as reacting is only “medicine after death”.

The IG in his speech promised an all round improved welfare for police officers, while reiterating his commitment to improved interagency collaboration between the police and other security agencies.

The personnel present at the IG conference, are senior police officers from the ranks of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, and Commissioners of Police, amongst others in the Nigerian Police Force.
