Hameem Sanusi emerges new Emir of Dutse

The Governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has approved the appointment of Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, the son of the late Emir of Dutse, to emerge as the new emir.
This appointment comes after the selection process conducted by the seven kingmakers of the Dutse Emirate Council.
As contained in a press statement from the Emirate Council it was stated that the seven kingmakers unanimously selected Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, and had subsequently sent the name of Muhammad Hameem to the Governor for his approval.
The statement read “Subsequently the Governor has approved Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sanusi as the New Emir of Dutse with effect from today 05/02/2023.”
It should be noted that the Emir of Dutse in Jigawa State, Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi had earlier died on Tuesday at the age of 78 after a brief illness.
