The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of Ifeanyi, Davido’s son. Lagos Police Spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that Ifeanyi, Davido’s three-year-old son is late.

Hundeyin noted that the police have invited eight domestic workers of the artiste for questioning after Ifeanyi’s death.

“No arrest yet but domestic staff have been brought in for questioning,” he said.

The police spokesman added that anyone found culpable of the child’s death after a thorough investigation would be arrested.

“It is true, the child is dead. About eight people were brought in for questioning and we are investigating the matter. Anyone found culpable in the death of the child would be arrested,” Hundeyin affirmed.

Ifeanyi, Davido’s first son, reportedly drowned in a swimming pool at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Grief-stricken celebrities both at home and abroad have taken to their social media handles to commiserate with Davido and Chioma over their son’s death.

Recall that in 2018, Nigerian music star, Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj also lost his son, Daniel Jr., in similar tragic circumstance.

Daniel Jr. reportedly died in a swimming pool at the singer’s home in Lagos while he was away for a musical award in Los Angeles, United States.
