Tinubu Returns To Nigeria After 12 Days In The UK

By

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, returned to the country on Thursday after spending 12 days in the United Kingdom.

The APC flagbearer was welcomed with a warm embrace and jubilations by party chieftains and supporters.

They were led by his running mate, Kashim Shettima, former APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State.

Presidential Spokesperson, Bashir Ahmad, had earlier said in a tweet, forecasting the return of the APC presidential candidate.

“After days of intensive political consultations and meetings in London, our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is expected back in Abuja, later today.”

Similarly, Spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, had on Wednesday said Tinubu will soon be back in the country.

“I know he would be back in a couple of days. I have that information. I don’t know the particular day. I can’t say Friday or Saturday but I know he would be back in a couple of days,” Keyamo stated.

Tinubu’s Response

Speaking upon his arrival, Tinubu said he is ready to get to work. He assured Nigerians of a proactive transformation in order to make Nigeria a better place for all.

“The trip was very good. I enjoyed my break. And I’m happy to be back to my fatherland.

“And Nigerians should expect a very intelligent ability to think and perform. Nigerians should expect that the help they needed is here, the hope that is almost jittering is back and back actively.

“And we hold every effort to the country of patriotism, dedication, capacity and ability to do the job. Not negative thinking, not the fact that Nigeria has failed; this country is the greatest.

“If it is to rebuild, we are builders; if it is construction, we are constructors. If it is assurance, we give Nigerians the assurance that we definitely make a better country out of it all,” Tinubu concluded.
