Serena Williams Pays Tribute To Roger Federer Upon Retirement

Serena Williams has paid her tribute to fellow tennis player, Roger Federer, as she welcomed him to the ‘retirement club’.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner applauded Federer, claiming he had inspired her and countless others.
Williams took to her Instagram page and poured her feelings on Roger’s retirement.
She said, “I wanted to find the perfect way to say this, as you so eloquently put this game to rest – perfectly done, just like your career.
“I have always looked up to you and admired you. Our paths were always so similar, so much the same.
“You inspired countless millions and millions of people – including me – and we will never forget.
“I applaud you and look forward to all that you do in the future. Welcome to the retirement club. And thank you for being you @rogerfederer”, Williams concluded.
Meanwhile, Federer’s rival, Rafael Nadal has also sent a heartfelt message to him.
Nadal said it’s an honour to share amazing moments with Roger Federer after the Swiss announced his retirement from tennis on Thursday.
“Dear Roger, my friend and rival, I wish this day would never have come. It’s been a pleasure but also an honour and privilege to share all these years with you, living so many amazing moments on and off the court,” Nadal wrote on Twitter.
The Swiss tennis legend had earlier on announced his retirement from Tennis.
